Dr. Mark
Dr. Mark McDonough was raised in the Canyon Rim area of Salt Lake City and raised his family in West Jordan and Murray, Utah. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah and attended the University of the Pacific where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then moved to Salt Lake City and practiced general dentistry for nearly 3 years before returning to the University of the Pacific to receive orthodontic specialty training and complete a Master of Science in Dentistry. He has practiced orthodontics exclusively for over 30 years in the same location and plans on another 30 years of orthodontic practice.
Dr. Mark has been married for over 40 years, has 6 children and 20+ grandchildren. He and his wife live in Murray. He has served as President of the Utah Association of Orthodontists and has always enjoyed being involved in the community and working with fellow colleagues.
Dr. David
Dr. David McDonough grew up in West Jordan and Murray, Utah. He attended Southern Utah University and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science and Health at the University of Utah. He then moved to San Francisco and attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. As a dentist, Dr. David attended a General Practice Residency at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. Following his hospital residency he moved to Denver and there attended the University of Colorado Denver and completed a 27 month orthodontic specialty residency, achieved his board certifications, and was given the Outstanding Resident Award. He currently presents on orthodontics to dentists at the University of Utah Health Sciences Dental Residency.
Dr. David, his wife Jennifer, and their 4 children live in Sandy, Utah. He feels fortunate to work alongside his father with such a talented and experienced team. He enjoys interacting with patients and loves the many personalities with which he has the opportunity to associate. (Dr. David also speaks fluent Spanish… and English.)
