White Braces
Ceramic braces are one of the least noticeable types of braces. McDonough Orthodontics offers In-Ovation braces that have transparent ceramic brackets with clear white ties that blend in beautifully and are practically invisible. These white braces are very popular among our patients with adult braces because they are more discreet, but also more delicate. Ceramic braces are especially effective on the front teeth rather than the lower teeth.
Invisible Braces
If you want completely invisible braces, we have a solution. It’s called clear aligner therapy and one of the brands of this type of treatment that is best known is INVISALIGN. Invisalign, or clear aligner therapy, is a great option for those who don’t want to deal with the brackets, wires, and bands of traditional braces.
Instead of clear braces or metal braces, a few small clear “attachments” are placed on selective teeth to give the orthodontist control and help the aligners move the teeth. Then, placed over the top of your teeth with these small clear attachments are clear retainer like trays that we call aligners.
Each aligner is slightly different and has a calculated amount of tooth movement in them that move your teeth little by little until they are straight and beautiful. These aligners are worn for 1 to 2 weeks depending on your treatment plan.
